Amazing hands of Sonny Milano
Video: Sonny Milano dangles every opposing player for incredible goal
There’s no doubt in anyone’s mind Columbus Blue Jackets prospect Sonny Milano has some of the best hands from a young player we’ve ever seen, and during Sunday’s USA scrimmage against Finland, Milano showed off some of those skills.
On the first goal, after receiving a beautiful pass from Brock Boeser, Milano broke free from the pack to fire home a great goal. And the second goal was just an absolute beauty.Milano was rated as a top prospect who was widely projected to be a first round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. He trained with the USNTDP team during the 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 seasons, and was invited to participate in the 2013 CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects game.
Milano was committed to play for the Boston College Eagles in Hockey East. However, on August 16, 2014, Eagles’ head coach Jerry York announced Milano had advised the team of his intention to sign a professional contract with the Blue Jackets, thus forgoing his college eligibility. During the 2014-2015 season, Milano is playing for the Whalers in the OHL. Even though he switched teams, he continues to live with Bo Freatman his billet for USNTDP in Ann Arbor.
