Nearly 200 cars involved in massive multi-vehicle pileup outside of Montreal
A code orange was declared in three health centers after around 200 vehicles, including 15 vehicles, were associated with a significant collision on Freeway 15 in the Quebec city of Montreal.
Transportation Minister François Bonnardel said 50 lorries were totally damaged and 75 requirement towing complying with the accident that covered over one kilometre of the freeway. He condemned an abrupt gust of wind from the St. Lawrence River for causing the whiteout that led to the accident in the location.
