The New Jersey Devils are a professional ice hockey team based in Newark, New Jersey. The Devils compete in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a member of the league’s Metropolitan Division of the Eastern Conference. The club was founded as the Kansas City Scouts in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1974.
An average of 5.32 goals are being scored this season, down slightly from 5.5 through Nov. 10, 2014, but down significantly from the 6.16 goals a game in the 2005-06 season.
