Ehrhoff agrees to one-year contract with Kings

Defenseman Christian Ehrhoff agreed to a one-year contract with the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday. The Orange County Register reported that general manager Dean Lombardi confirmed the contract was worth $1.5 million.

Ehrhoff had three goals and 14 points in 49 games for the Pittsburgh Penguins last season, averaging 21:45 of ice time. He missed 28 of Pittsburgh’s final 34 regular-season games with a concussion and other injury issues, and did not play after March 24.

The 33-year-old has 72 goals, 327 points, 483 penalty minutes and a plus-59 rating in 741 regular-season games during 11 seasons with the San Jose SharksVancouver CanucksBuffalo Sabres and Penguins. He has seven goals, 34 points, 64 penalty minutes and a minus-12 rating in 73 Stanley Cup Playoff games, and was a member of the Vancouver team that lost to the Boston Bruins in Game 7 of the Final in 2011.
